100% original and just fantastic. Marked by HOLTZAPFFEL, but clearly made by TOWELL. Original full-length SORBY 1 7/8" iron. The plane is on the small side at 9 inches long. Dovetail steel construction with rosewood infill. The best example we have ever seen. Robert Towell was known to be working in London around 1830 and was probably making infill planes as early as the late 18th century.
