An amazing and unusual specimen! Eight pounds. 12 x 21 inches with a 7 1/8 inch edge. UNDERHILL EDGE TOOL CO operated in Nashua, New Hampshire,circa 1852-1890.  The company was formedby George Underhill and John Gage, who used the name NASHUA EDGE TOOL CO. earlyon.   After having bought out the AMOSKEAG AX CO in1897, it in turn was bought out by AMERICAN AXE & TOOL CO in 1890, whoclosed the Nashua site but continued to use the logo.
